Friday, December 18th, GODHEAD, THE CITY BLEEDS and ADAM WEST at 9:30 Club (815 V St. NW, at Vermont Ave., 202-393-0930 concert line), $5. What was that you said. Three kickin' local bands at the 9:30 Club. No longer referred to by most as the new 9:30, the club is known for having big-name club-level artists like, recently, Beck, Morcheeba, Soul Coughing and even Maria McKee. The old 9:30 Club was much more focused on local bands, so seeing three locals earn the room for a night is a very good sign...
Adam West I know, and I can assure you that they are a performance-tuned, high revin' hard rock band that has spent a few years perfecting their show. Fast and heavy guitar riffs and a great rhythm section back Jake Starr's edgy but on-key and emotive vocals and creative lyrics. Wear leather. Prepare to rock.
